Warhammer Online Live Keg Event Guide
The new live event just started in warhammer called Keg End and will be in the game from Dec. 17- Jan 5th. As always I’m curious to see what kind of objectives I have to complete and the rewards it gives. I went in the game to check it out and i saw it already gave me all the task that I needed to do. The hard part about this and I’m sure a lot of people have problems with this, is the lack of information it gives to some of these tasks. I mean some are very straight forward where I just did it right away while other task I actually had to run around the world to find it or bug a lot of people about it. Right now I finished boasting/toasting players of every class, even the dead ones too. I also defeated 20 enemies and found the keg in the Feast Hall in the main city.
Now the rest of the task is beyond me at this point and while I was in a scenario killing other players they started dropping fireworks and kegs. If only they tell you or hint you where each task might be located in instead of just saying “scour the RVR battlefields”. The reward “Keg Backpack” from this is quite nice in design and the specs of it. This event might be too much to the average player but, I’m sure all the hardcore gamers are already done with their event and rocking the Keg Backpack and the title “Keg Slayer”. As for me I probably do some of it, but I’m sure I won’t be completing every task before the time is up.
Here is a guide to help you finish you’re event.
Now for the toast/boast just go to War Main Menu and click on macro. Put in any name for the macro and on the bottom where it say Macro Text just put /toast or /boast either one is fine. then select any icon for it (I used the beer mug one since its close to this event) after all that just save and drag the icon to your action bar. Now you see another player just click on the action button and you can easily complete the toasting of all careers and dead enemy players.
Massive Orge Tyrants Slain – 0/20 – these buggers are roaming around the open RVR lakes. Be careful they are Heroes so try to get a group to fight these guys.
Drink Dwarf Beer Kegs retrieved from Brew-Thirsty Ogres, Drunken Gnoblars, and Explosive Snotlings – 0/100 – you can only get the kegs from thes mobs only and is by chance. I’ve found Explosive snotlings around Black Crag just north of the WP. (hint: you will know when you see 6+ players killing the same thing over and over so just join them) Drinking the keg only gives you 5 influence points for each keg
Explosive Snotlings Slain – 0/50 – These guys are seen popping everywhere so just kill them when you see them like I said I saw a bunch at Black Crag. They give out 10 influence points for each kill.
Brew – Thirsty Ogres Slain – 0/50– Thirsty Ogres are found guarding Keg Caches with Drunken Gnoblars. You can see them on the road around every zone. They give out 10 influence points for each kill.
Drunken Gnoblar Slain – 0/50 – They are also near the Thirsty Ogres. They give out 10 influence points for each kill.
Keg Caches Guzzled – 50/50-They can be obtained after you killed the Ogres and Gnoblars who were gaurding it.
Launch 10 Common Fireworks – 10/10- They drop of from players and event mobs which is quite common.
Launch 5 Impressive Fireworks – 5/5 – They drop of from players and event mobs but more of a uncommon drop.
Launch 1 Magnificent Fireworks – 1/1 – This is a rare drop from players and event mobs
(I say for the fireworks you should just buy it from the auction house if you have a lot of money to spare)
Rewards from this Event:
There are three type of rewards from this event. The Basic reward is a Strong Barley Brew, which is a title, the Advance reward is a Bottomless Stein, which is a trophy, and the Elite reward is a Last Callkeg, which allows you to recall back to your capital city pub.
Besides those three rewards there is also two world drops which are rare drops from players or event mobs.
The Golden Stein – This item can be found in certain oRvR zones. If you read the description in the ToK carefully it will list the zones you can find the Golden Stein in. These are the zones you can find the Golden Stein in, Nordland, Barak Varr, Black Fire Pass, Praag, Thunder Mountain, and Dragonwake.
The Battlebrew Backpack – This is an extremely rare world drop. It can be dropped from players and Live Event mobs. Each tier has a cloak with slightly higher or lower stats. The look of the cloak remains the same for each tier. The special attack has a 3 minute cool down and has a 65ft range. You can see a picture of the Tier 3 cloak below.
This is probably a fun event to do but, I must say the rewards aren’t that nice for me to really complete this event. I would rather they give us the backpack for the event, then have it as a world drop. But then again players who are lucky enough to get the backpack or the golden stein won’t feel special. =D
