Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Details
Do you remember old Need For Speed games before Need For Speed Underground and Need For Speed Most Wanted? Don’t get me wrong, I love pimped cars and illegal underground races but what about the fans of older games that loved simple racing with amazing and powerful racing cars? If you’ve played any classical Need For Speed game than you must have heard about Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit. Not many people know but this is the first Need For Speed game that has introduced police chases. Game was quite popular when it was released in 1998 and we got a sequel of it in 2002 called Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit II. Both games had huge popularity because they allowed you to play as racers and as cops that are chasing them. It was a classic racing game that was an inspiration to the later Need For Speed series but form recent news we find out that we’ll see another Hot Pursuit game.
Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit doesn’t look like a sequel or a remake of the popular game, but it will take you behind the wheel of some of the fastest racing cars today. Just like in the previous Hot Pursuit games you’ll have to drive as fast as you can while police is trying to take you down. Interesting thing about this game is that we’ll get an open world for the first time in the Hot Pursuit game. Besides that we’re going to see two separate campaigns in which we can play both as racers and cops. Another great thing about this game is that both racers and cops will have certain upgrades that they get through the level up system. That way racers will get power ups such as decoy cars, radio jam, booster, and for the first time, invisibility. As for the cops, they will have standard power ups that have already been seen in previous Hot Pursuit games. This means that they can call for a roadblock, spike strips or helicopter support and they can even use EMP blasts that can mess up racers handling.
Overall, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit will have a lot to offer to the fans of the series and we’re hoping to see the official release on November 16 in USA and November 19 in Europe.
