EA and Dr Pepper Make Nice, Join Hands in Partnership
Game developers and publishers know what gamers like to drink: high fructose corn syrup-filled carbonated beverages. And with this knowledge, EA and Dr Pepper have made a multimillion-dollar partnership to pull more in to their respective products.
The product placement actually begins in 2010 with The Sims 3 and go on from there with integration of “original content related to Dr Pepper.”
The partnership will include codes on Dr Pepper products which will unlock exclusive content, which is more than other marketing partnerships such as Blizzard and Mountain Dews’, which doesn’t go much further than a picture on the bottle.
But kudos to Dr Pepper for finally getting the attention it deserves. It is one delicious high fructose corn syrup-filled carbonated beverage.
