Warhammer is a great MMO I can admit. No other MMO has captured my essence since I’ve quit DAoC. I guess you can really say I’m one of the hardcore PvP types. I enjoy killing other players more than anything else. But guess what, I’ve hit 40 a while ago but yet barely even 25% of the population in the game is even 40. What fun is there in killing a player that is much lower level than you? I do not take much pride in ganking level 30s or 20s even.
In order for siege warfare and the RvR system to work, it is by law that you have enough players within your level range to battle against. I’m sure most of you are pretty tired of killing the same 20-40 players all day. Some really sad things I’ve seen are players who started in prelaunch and has yet to hit 40. Perhaps they may have many alts or does not have many times but I assure that 3 months is more than enough time to hit 40. What is worst is seeing guilds that started early and yet has a single rank 40.
IMO, the leveling process has always been a boring grind. In this case, Mythic has installed a pretty good scenario system to gain RPs and exp at the same time. But in the end, it is still another grind to me after a while. They do have a good diversity of activities to level but at this early stage of the game, the RvR system is probably not as fun as how it was intended. What I would like is to have 100 man zerg fights, keep sieges and different opponents to maximize my skills. It took me close to 200 hours play time to hit 40, at an average of 4 hours per day, it practically took me close to 2 months. I guess you can say I’m one of the slow ones as well.
