It is familiar that many great games have terrible movie adaptations. You surely remember movies such as Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil and Max Payne. Although, they are great games, none of the movies achieved any bigger success and none of them lived up to the fame of the game series. Now we’re about to see a new movie adaptation of another great game. After Resident Evil and its zombies it’s time to see another zombie movie that has been inspired by another zombie game developed by Capcom. You’ve guessed it, it’s Dead Rising.

If you haven’t played Dead Rising before here’s a quick brief. In Dead Rising you’re stuck in the middle of a zombie apocalypse and you need to fight in a zombie infested mall. Since you’re on your own you need to use literally everything that you can find. Yeah, Dead Rising was a great game and although this is not official Dead Rising movie, you can clearly see its influence. Movie is called Zombrex: Dead Rising Sun and it should give us first person horror experience. From what we have find out plot for the movie was written and directed by Kenji Inafune, longtime Capcom game developer. Interesting thing about this movie is that it will be free and that it will have eight episodes. After looking at the trailer I can’t really say that this movie will be mind blowing because it really looks like a fan-made movie but you can obviously see Dead Rising’s influence since all the characters are trapped inside the mall.
