Xbox 360 Slim has Overheating Messages

You all remember Red Ring Of Death on the Xbox 360, the little red circle that would take over your power button and your console. As you know Microsoft has removed all red LEDs from the front of the console in order to stop the Red Ring of Death issue but for some reason that didn’t help. Not only that we got red light on the power brick but we also got infamous red eye. Well, at least it’s not the dreaded Red Ring of death, so that’s progress.

We all know that Red Ring or red eye on the new Xbox 360 Slim is caused by hardware failures or by overheating issues. Well with the new Xbox 360 Slim you’ll get red eye but you’ll also get a warning about overheating that looks similar to the Blue Screen of Death we have faced on PCs. Instead of sudden turn off, you’ll see a message that says that your console doesn’t have enough ventilation and that your Xbox 360 is shutting down in order to prevent damage. You’re advised to turn on your console back again as soon as red light on the power button stops flashing. Yeah, there are no Red Rings, just red eyes and warning messages. At least it’s good to know that overheating has occurred and that your Xbox 360 will shut down, but that doesn’t solve the problem. Microsoft said that new Xbox 360 will have better ventilation and that we won’t see any hardware failures or overheating issues with it.

Microsoft partially kept its promise so there are no red rings but there are red eyes and black screens of death so we can only hope that Microsoft will fix this someday.
