Valve finally started releasing parts of the ‘Team Fortress 2′ engineer class update. The first item players can get right now is the “Golden Wrench”, which is randomly crafted. If you are lucky enough to actually craft one of the 100 wrenches, then your name will be shown on Valve’s list (don’t you feel like Charlie from the Chocolate Factory).

Valve also announced that on every 25 wrenches that are crafted, they will be releasing an item for the engineer update. So far, we passed the 25 mark and Valve released the first engineer weapon “Frontier Justice” shotgun.

The “Frontier Justice” has a 50% smaller magazine and does not get random crits, but you get “Revenge Crits”.

Revenge Crits:

Engineers get two crits for every kill their sentries racked up before destruction, and one crit for every assist!

When Engineer’s sentry is destroyed (either through enemy action or self-destruct), the Engineer receives bonus crits with the Frontier Justice.

Not bad at all, can’t wait till Thursday when Valve fully launches the long over due engineer update.
