Tekken 6 Console Release Date; Special Edition Extras

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Tekken 6 on consoles, you only have a few more months to wait. The game has been confirmed by Namco-Bandai for an October 27th release on the PS3 and Xbox 360. These guys really know how to support fans of their games: those who preorder are going to score some pretty neat extras. First off, you get a 2009-2010 collectible calendar based on the game series, but more interestingly, there’s a special costume for Yoshimitsu which turns him into the Cardboard Tube Samurai from Penny Arcade. I suppose it’s nothing special for those who aren’t fans of the comic, but pretty cool for the rest of us.

If you’re really into Tekken, there’s some other goodies to be had. They’re offering a special bundle pack that includes an art book and an official Hori wireless fight stick. This package retails at about $150, a fair enough price for those who really want that genuine arcade feel.

If you’re interested in the pre-order bonuses, you’d best act quickly. Apparently, supplies are limited (though Namco Bandai didn’t explain how a game DLC could be limited) and if you miss out, then you’re just plain out of luck.
