The newest DSi firmware — the one with the Facebook update and flashcart lockout — is officially live today. So get to updating! Unless of course, you have a flashcart, then you might wanna skip it.

The firmware allows you to take pictures and edit them on the DSi or directly upload them to Facebook. Considering the demographic the DS and it’s respective versions go for, this is a big selling point.

As for the flashcart locking, if you’re one of those folks you’re going to have to either skip the update or sit back and wait for homebrewers to catch up again. It’ll happen, just give it some time.
