The group behind the fan project of reviving the King’s Quest series, Phoenix Online Studios, was shut down earlier this year do to licensing issue from new right owners of the series, Activision. However, recently good news are reported that the fan project has been reborn after Activision stop their cease and desist order. Ah just like a Phoenix!

The self indie title for the King’s Quest series called ‘The Silver Lining’ is scheduled for July 10th release. It is always nice to see giant corporation giving a little leeway to indie developers.

Oh, best part is that the game will be FREEE
