Hackers restores OtherOS on Playstation 3

Hackers have been reported to breakthrough Sony’s firmware and are now able to get their way around Playstation 3’s OtherOS feature, which permitted the user to install a version of Linux on their consoles.

According to a PS3 hacker, Graf Chokolo, OtherOS can “read or write anything” and is very “useful” for HV hacking. It allows the user to control the PS3’s memory and systems to a greater degree.

This has been one of the leading causes for the DDoS attacks from Anonymous, let’s hope the hackers stay away and let us play our damn games online.
