Yes, you’ve read that title right, Jordan Wayne Long is planning a seven day vacation, locked in a crate, and will be traveling from Bald Knob, AR to Portland OR from July 1 to July 7.

Long is a “performance and video artist” and that this project relates to his study of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and coping mechanisms related to PTSD. Gamers who suffer from this disorder tends to escape into online communities, to reinvent themselves in which Long plans to spend the 7 days playing Lord of the Rings Online.

I fail to see the concept of being locked up in a crate and shipping across the country when their mothers’ basement is more than a good hideout. Well, maybe except for the mother but there are definitely alternatives.

Long plans to keep the public updated on his exploit via twitter and his personal blog. No details were revealed on how you’ll eat or go about his business but, from the looks of the image, he’s getting well prepared.
