E3 2010: Nintendo Reveals Zelda: Skyward Sword

Nintendo just officially announced the next Zelda game and it’s titled ‘Zelda: Skyward Sword’. The new Zelda game will have a better combat control scheme than Twilight Princess because this time around, ‘Zelda: Skyward Sword’, will use the Wii MotionPlus to help with the combat controls.

Shigeru Miyamoto led the demo of ‘Zelda: Skyward Sword’ at this year E3 and showed the audience how to use the Wii Remote to aim with the bow and arrow and also how the swordplay is more realistic than compare to Twilight Princess. For example the Wii nunchuck will be your shield in the game and if an enemy swings at you then you will need to block like you have a shield in real life. This goes for the sword as well, where you will need to swing the Wiimote like a real sword, also this kind of controls will go for many items including the classic bomb and new items such as remote-controlled beetle and the whip.

Miyamoto said “I think this game will be remembered as a key turning point in Zelda’s history,”

Nintendo has not officially dated the game yet, but it will be scheduled for next year release.
