Capcom is well-known game developer because of its great games such as Resident Evil and Devil May Cry, but do you remember older games that came from this company? Before Resident Evil and Devil May Cry there were games such as Street Fighter, Ghosts ‘n Goblins and of course Mega Man. Speaking of Mega Man we have seen many installments of this great franchise over the years. First Megamen has been released for NES in 1987 and so far there have been many sequels and spinoffs so it’s really hard to keep track of it. Interesting thing about Mega Man is that Mega Man is a platform game that involves lot of shooting and jumping but at the same time game allows you to find unique upgrades by defeating the bosses. Each boss has unique weakness that you must find and attack with a specific power in order to defeat him. I haven’t played many Mega Man games but from what I’ve played it’s fun but also quite hard and frustrating at the moments. Despite its difficulty it’s still a great franchise that has millions of fans all over the world.
Recent news shows that Capcom is trying to bring Mega Man back in a completely new manner. Apparently, the LittleBigPlanet has influenced Capcom and therefore they are working on a new and creative gameplay experience that will change the Mega Man forever. As you know, Mega Man can take abilities from the defeated bosses in the game and customize its powers and abilities that way. But what would happen if Mega Man could take powers from other Capcom characters? Believe it or not, Mega Man Universe trailer has been released and according to trailer we’re about to see the creativity that we’ve never imagined before. From the trailer we see Mega Man fighting against the common enemies in Mega Man franchise, but as soon as he realizes that his blaster is too weak he takes a cutting razor or something from robot that really looks like one of Mega Man bosses. Despite the power upgrade Mega Man fails to defeat the enemies but then Ryu from Street Fighter comes and destroys the enemies. Eventually Ryu falls and then Knight from Ghosts ‘n Goblins appears and tries to save the day. As he falls defeated we see that Knight is changing into Ryu and into Mega Man which means that we’re probably going to see a Mega Man crossover game that will let you customize your Mega Man for the very first time with the powers and accessories from all sorts of Capcom characters. According to the teaser trailer Mega Man Universe looks like amazing experience that will change platform games and Mega Man franchise.
