Amazon Pulls Virtual-Rape Computer Game

A shocking rape-simulator computer game has been pulled from Amazon.com after the site and game’s manufacturer received widespread condemnation for its content.

Players of “Rapelay,” created by the Japanese production house Illusion, stalk and sexually assault mothers and daughters, described as “virgin schoolgirls” that show tears in their eyes as they are being attacked.

Rewards are offer for players who force their victims to have abortions after they become pregnant. The female characters become visually more pregnant each time they are raped if their baby is not aborted. Players lose if babies are born. The mothers then throw the player’s character in front of a train.

Players also can enter “freeform mode” where they join up with other players to gang rape women.

A spokesman for Illusion said, “We believe there is no problem with the software, which has cleared the domestic ratings of an ethics watchdog body.”

Where’s a mean-a$$ watchdog when you need one?
